Rapid COVID testing at EAGLE
EAGLE parents, Dave and Shelby O’Connor, are both professors of pathology and laboratory medicine at UW-Madison. In the summer of 2020 when they needed volunteers for the COVID test they were developing, EAGLE faculty and staff were eager to help. Now with UW-Madison’s latest Rapid COVID-19 antigen test, results can be available in as little as 15 minutes. To help, make these tests more widely available, researchers hope to set up testing centers in area schools. When they needed a pilot program, EAGLE stepped up again and is now one of two schools where this rapid test is being conducted. And WKOW in Madison was happy to share the news.
