EAGLE School is an independent K-8 school in Madison dedicated to inspiring and challenging advanced and capable students to reach their full potential.
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced teacher to teach French to students in kindergarten through 3rd grade. The most important qualities for a candidate to possess are a deep understanding of and enthusiasm for French language and culture, and a strong desire to share that knowledge and passion with curious young minds discovering language for the first time.
The ideal candidate must be highly energetic and skilled in current teaching strategies encompassing speaking, reading, listening, and writing. We are looking for a teacher who is collaborative in a team environment and effective as a communicator with students, staff, and parents. Familiarity with the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) Proficiency Guidelines, experience with the TPRS method (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling), and past experience with gifted students are all a plus.
This is a 50% position starting in the 2026-27 school year, with the possibility to expand the FTE with other duties.
