The Waunakee Public Library is kicking off the New Year with January’s Kid Librarian, and EAGLE 2nd grader, Abir! As Kid Librarian, Abir curated a collection of graphic novels for the library’s Kids’ section, thoughtfully selecting books that inspire imagination, curiosity, and a love of reading. It’s an exciting honor and a wonderful example of student leadership in action.

As you can imagine, libraries and books are very important to our EAGLE students. From an early age, EAGLE learners are encouraged to explore their interests, share their voices, and engage with the wider community. Opportunities like this allow students to see themselves as capable contributors beyond the classroom, building confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

We are incredibly proud of Abir and grateful to the Waunakee Public Library for partnering with young readers in such a meaningful way. Experiences like these reflect what EAGLE is all about: empowering students to lead, create, and shine both at school and beyond.
