Enrichment is at the heart of our mission. Academic clubs are where creativity, collaboration and leadership come to life. These experiences provide authentic opportunities for students to lead, create, and contribute.

Student Council provides students with the opportunity to develop leadership skills, represent their peers, and contribute to school life. Members plan events, organize service projects, and help shape school policies and initiatives. The council fosters teamwork, communication, and a sense of responsibility while giving students a voice in their community.
The Regal Eagle, the school’s student-run publication, gives participants a chance to write, edit, and share stories about school life, current events, and other topics that are of interest to their peers. Students work collaboratively to plan content, develop their writing and communication skills, and produce issues that reflect the voices and experiences of the school community.
The Audio Visual Club (AV Club) gives students hands-on experience in audio and video production. Participants learn how to operate equipment, manage sound and lighting, record school events, and provide technical support for assemblies and performances. The club offers practical skill-building in media technology, collaboration, and live production as students document and enhance key school activities.

Yearbook Club gives students the opportunity to document and celebrate the school year. Participants contribute through photography, writing, layout design, and editing, creating a keepsake that captures memories, events, and the spirit of the school community. The club fosters creativity, teamwork, and attention to detail while producing a publication that students and families can treasure for years.
Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) provides a welcoming space for middle school students to support one another, build community, and promote inclusion. The group encourages respect, understanding, and open conversation around gender identity, expression, and sexuality. Participants work together to foster a school environment where all students feel safe, seen, and valued.
MATHCOUNTS offers students the chance to develop advanced problem-solving skills through collaborative and individual math challenges. Participants train for competitions and regularly represent the school at regional and state levels, with some students advancing to national events. The program fosters critical thinking, perseverance, and a passion for mathematics.

Math Club is open to all students and offers a fun, welcoming space to explore math through games, puzzles, and hands-on activities. Participants dive into topics like probability, problem-solving strategies, and competition-style math through activities tied to programs such as Math Olympiad, MATHCOUNTS, and the Greater Dane County Math Meet. The club embraces the spirit of Math Olympiad by fostering enthusiasm for mathematics, introducing new concepts, building flexible thinking, encouraging creativity and intuition, and celebrating the satisfaction and excitement of tackling challenges.
Science Olympiad is a hands-on academic program where students work in teams to tackle challenges in a wide range of scientific disciplines including biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, and more. Participants develop problem-solving skills, collaborate with peers, and apply scientific concepts in practical ways. Teams compete at regional events, with opportunities to advance to the state competition, testing both knowledge and creativity in fun and engaging ways.

The EAGLE Chess Club is a dynamic program where students explore chess through puzzles, strategy discussions, themed challenges, and tournament-style play. Each session blends instruction with hands-on practice, helping students strengthen tactics, master key checkmates, and gain experience playing against peers and instructors. Led by a local grandmaster, the club also participates as a team in local competitions, including the Scholastic Chess Tournaments, giving students the chance to test their skills and enjoy the excitement of competitive play.
French Club provides students with opportunities to continue exploring the French language and culture. Activities focus on speaking, listening, and cultural experiences, allowing students to practice their skills, deepen their understanding, and enjoy French in fun and engaging ways outside the regular classroom setting.
The Speech & Debate Club is designed to develop students’ critical communication and reasoning abilities. Participants hone their debate skills using the World Schools format, sharpen their logical reasoning by identifying and avoiding common fallacies, and cultivate strong organizational skills for preparing effective public speeches and presentations. While students have the option to compete in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Speech and Dramatic Arts Association (WISDAA) debates throughout the year, competitive participation is not required for club membership.

CaTaPuLT Club introduces students to computational thinking, programming, logic, and technology in a fun, creative way. The club emphasizes the creative side of computation, allowing students to design their own games, stories, and interactive art. Using the Scratch programming environment, participants learn to specify solutions precisely, develop problem-solving skills, and explore how technology can be a tool for original creation and innovation.
