At EAGLE, we’re incredibly fortunate to have staff who are both experts in their fields and deeply committed to their students. Our “Staff Shout Outs” celebrate the dedication, creativity, and heart they bring to our community every day.

Shout-out to Erica Munson

Erica Munson recently returned from presenting at the Independent Schools of the Central States annual convention. Erica’s session was titled “Differentiation Through Building Thinking Classrooms” and explored the teaching practices Peter Liljedahl outlines in his Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics approach. Erica has been optimistic about the results she is seeing as she implements his approach in her classroom. (December 4, 2025)

Past Shout-outs

Katie McEnaney

November 25, 2025. Our 5th Grade LASSD Teacher, Katie McEnaney, co-presented at two different sessions at the National Council of Teachers of English Dream Boldly Conference in Denver. The first session was titled “Ten Ways to Nurture and Nourish Nonfiction Readers.” The session highlighted how to integrate award-winning nonfiction literature into the classroom utilizing a variety of educational methods. Her second session was “6 Small Actions That Can Make A Big Difference: Empowering Children to Impact the World around Them.” The presentation focused on helping educators to use books to assist students in recognizing their strengths and affecting change in this complex world. Katie worked with authors, publishers, and educators on these inspiring presentations. (November 25, 2025)

Andrew Irving photo for staff shout-out

November 20, 2025. As President of the American Association of Teachers of French – Wisconsin Chapter, EAGLE French Teacher, Andrew Irving, recently presented twice at the Wisconsin Association of Foreign Language Teachers (WAFLT) Fall Conference. One talk outlined the benefits — for students, teachers, and the school’s French program — to participating in the “Concours Oral” which is run by the AATF-WI and for which the vast majority of our EAGLE students receive gold medals. The other talk was a business meeting for the AATF-WI and a “share fair” where teachers exchange their latest resources and ideas to continue making French a great language choice for students in Wisconsin.
