International Night (Saturday, March 11) was an event where the EAGLE community (including students, families, teachers, staff) came together to tour the world in one evening, learning interesting facts about each country as they relish food samples and dive into activities.  Students took their fun passports around the “world” to be stamped as they visited each booth.  Attendees got to try hot tea at the Pakistan booth, or try Delicje (soft biscuits covered in chocolate with a variety of fillings) at the Poland booth or play Holi (an Indian festival) at the India booth, or take a fun pop quiz at the China booth, or try Haribo products at the Germany booth, or try Snickerdoodle at the Netherlands booth and the list could go on as about 16 countries were represented either at a booth or by performance.  International Night also featured live performances including various dance styles from China and Tibet, bagpipers and drummers from Scotland, classical dance from India, poetry from China, Taekwondo from Korea, a fashion show showcasing traditional attires from all over the world.  International Night gave people a look into the diverse backgrounds at our school community.
