Nutrition

Our students need good nutrition to think and play hard.  Many highly processed foods, artificially colored and often high in sugar, can negatively affect students during the school day. Whenever possible, we encourage parents to send “healthy” snacks to school for student break times or class parties.

Healthy snack ideas include apples, grapes, fruit kebabs, raisins, fruit juice popsicles, cheese & crackers, string cheese, hummus & pita, carrot & celery sticks, other vegetables & dip, yogurt & fruit parfaits, tortilla chips & guacamole or salsa, nut-free trail mix, popcorn, homemade mini-muffins and granola bars.
