EAGLE School Director

EAGLE School of Madison, an independent, nondenominational and nonprofit (501c-3) school for talented and gifted K-8 students, seeks experienced, energetic candidates to be our next Director. The role of Director includes primary responsibility for all aspects of school operation. The position offers significant flexibility, outstanding work climate, and excellent staff. EAGLE has a strong scholarship program to make the school accessible to as many qualified students as possible. Oversight is provided by a Board of Directors. Anticipated start date July 1, 2018.

Over its 35-year history, EAGLE has grown from 12 to 250 students. The school is located in a newly constructed and remodeled facility in Fitchburg, WI, just outside of Madison. EAGLE is accredited by the Wisconsin Religious and Independent Schools Accreditation (WRISA). Madison is a thriving community that is routinely rated one of the best places in the country to live. In addition to being the state capital, Madison hosts the flagship campus of the University of Wisconsin system and is the center of an active private sector that offers many additional opportunities.

Strong candidates will be energetic, forward-thinking, creative problem-solvers with the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • Master’s degree or higher (any field). Candidates are expected to have or be willing to take at least 18 hours of Educational Administration courses as necessary to maintain school accreditation.
  • Administrative experience, ideally in an academic setting
  • Experience working with and meeting the unique needs of talented and gifted children
  • Desirable personal characteristics include adaptability, a sense of humor, and ability to collaborate effectively with parents, teachers, and students.

Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
