Maintenance/Custodial Leader

EAGLE School of Madison, a private K-8 school, is looking for a unique individual to take care of our building.  This person will be responsible for maintaining the building and grounds of an active school building. Duties include overseeing general custodial and repair work completed by outside contractors and performing a limited number of daily custodial tasks, as well as weekly, monthly, and annual custodial responsibilities.  Other tasks relate to repair and odd jobs – someone who can complete simple repairs, move furniture, build/assemble shelving, attach just about anything to a wall or surface!

The ideal candidate would have some basic carpentry skills and be mechanically inclined.  Experience in a custodial, construction, and/or mechanical field is ideal. Knowledge of the standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment used to clean buildings and furniture is required. This job requires physical stamina – lifting and standing.  Most importantly we are looking for a very responsible, dependable, independent individual with strong communication skills.  The ideal candidate approaches a problem with curiosity, skill, and determination – rising to the challenge and finding satisfaction in coming up with cost-effective solutions that help everyone in our building be successful.

Based on a candidate’s experience and interest this position could be a 50% – 100% position, working year round.  Work hours are flexible.  The ability to be on-call for emergencies is required.  Close proximity to the school would be helpful. You may inquire by sharing your resume (tell me about yourself) with Carole Mason at carole@eagleschool.org.
