Our after-school Squash Club is underway! Please feel free to stop by the courts at Madison Squash Workshop to observe and/or participate with some of your classmates. The club meets on Fridays through November 21. Contact EAGLE parent Gregg Kissel (email@example.com) with questions.
Also, you may want to mark your calendars for the upcoming 6th annual Madison Open Pro Squash Tournament. This event will run from October 30 through November 2. Kids will have an opportunity to meet, and perhaps hit around with, some of the pros representing nine different countries. Visit www.squashworkshop.com for club directions and event details.
If you have a Primary, UP, or Intermediate student, we have a great sports opportunity for you! Tami Patel and Jake Johnson have volunteered to run after-school basketball for this age group on Wednesdays, starting next week, Sept. 24. This program will run through Oct. 29, and meets from 3:25 to 4:30 pm, in the EAGLE gym. If interested, please send $30 to the sports basket in the Reception Office, with your child’s name and unit in the note section of your check. Tami and Jake are excited to build skills, give kids a good workout, and have fun learning about and playing basketball!
Any 4/5–7/8 student interested in cross country is welcome to join our group from 3:30 to 4:30 pm on Mondays, September and October. New students are welcome at any time, but students should first email Jack Maloney (firstname.lastname@example.org) to express interest. Runners should meet around the green bench behind the playground at 3:30 pm; pick-up is near the gym at 4:30 pm. We’ll make the most of the beautiful trails behind EAGLE and learn some techniques to improve our abilities as a team!
Due to a scheduling conflict, Tennis Club for 4/5s – 7/8s will begin at 3:30 pm on Wed., Sept. 17 (not Sept. 10), at McKee Farms Park. Questions? Please contact coach Sam Crownover at email@example.com.
