Spirit Week May 13-17

May 13-17 is “spirit” week. Instead of having just one fun day, we will have five in a row!

  • Muffin Monday (5/13) – We still need volunteers to bake goods for the Muffin Monday sale. If you can bring in muffins, cookies, brownies or other baked items, please package them in individual baggies, portioned out to be sold for 50¢ each. Sign up by emailing Marcia. (Remember–if you bring in baked goods, you get a free item from the sale.)
  • Twinsie Tuesday (5/14) – Dress up in identical outfits with a friend or multiple friends.
  • Spirit Wednesday (5/15) – Wear an EAGLE t-shirt or dress in blue and gold.
  • Animal Thursday (5/16) – Bring your favorite stuffed animal friend
  • Formal Friday (5/17) – Dress up in your best clothing!

End-of-Year Dance

Student Council will host an end-of-year middle school dance on Thursday, May 23, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Please contact Marcia if you are able to chaperone or help with set-up and/or clean-up.

Coin Wars Fundraiser

This fundraiser for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will run for two weeks—April 15-19. Homerooms will compete against one another to raise money. Bring in your change (pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters) to help your class get ahead, but bring in dollar bills to “bomb” other classes. Remember, the value of the “bombs” counts against the other homerooms’ totals. Each homeroom needs to bring Marcia a milk jug or juice container to hold the money. The top two homerooms will earn a prize.

Thirsty Thursday March 21st

On March 21, Student Council will sell assorted flavored waters and drinks during lunch for $1.00 per bottle.

Tic Tac Tuesday March 5th

On Tuesday, March 5, during lunch, Student Council will sell mints for $1.00 and loose Jolly Ranchers and Lifesavers for 25¢.

Student Talent Show

On Friday, Jan. 25, come and enjoy our EAGLE Student Talent Show at 2:00 pm in the Commons. You are sure to be entertained by a variety of acts including songs, instrumental performances, cultural dances, and dramatic skits. You won’t want to miss the fun!

Winter Masquerade Dance

On Friday, Jan. 18, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, we will host a dance for 5/6s–7/8s. It will be a Masquerade, so you are highly encouraged to bring your own mask to wear. Pizza and snacks will be served. If you would like to bring food to share, please do so. Tickets are $6.00 in advance ($7.00 at the door) and will be sold during lunch all next week. Helpers are needed for set-up and clean-up. If you would like to help set up, please arrive at 5:30 pm; plan to stay until 8:30 pm if you can assist with the clean-up. We have enough chaperones at this time. Thanks!

Spirit Week

The Student Council has chosen January 14–18 to be “spirit” week. Instead of having just one fun day, there will be five in a row!

Monday: Muffin Monday (1/14) – Student Council will sponsor a bake sale with profits going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We need more people to donate baked goods for the sale. If you can help, please email Marcia Beckett.

Tuesday: Sports Day (1/15) – Dress up to support your favorite sports team.

Wednesday: Camp Day (1/16) – Wear your “outdoorsy” gear such as camouflage, binoculars, vests, etc.

Thursday: Animal Day (1/17) – Dress up in an animal costume.

Friday: Homeroom Wars  (1/18) – Each homeroom will determine what its members will wear.  A winning homeroom will be selected based on creativity and participation.

Pajama Day

On Tuesday, December 11, wear your favorite PJs to school.

Food Drive

In conjunction with the Fitchburg Police Department, the Student Council is sponsoring a November Food Drive. Until Thanksgiving, we will be accepting canned goods and non-perishable items for needy families in the community. Collection bins are located near the front and back doors of the school.
