On May 29, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM, Student Council is sponsoring a Masquerade Dance for 5/6s-7/8s. Any and all costumes are welcome. Tickets will be $5.00 in advance ($7.00 at the door) and will include snacks and pizza. Student Council requests help from parents. Please consider chaperoning and/or donating snacks. To volunteer, contact Martha (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Mark your calendars! The EAGLE School Talent Show will take place on April 24 during TGIF. We will hold tryouts for the show on Wed., April 15, and Thurs., April 16, during recess and lunch in Room 5. Audition sign-up sheets can be found on the bulletin board in the main lobby. We are looking for acts lasting 3-4 minutes that include singing, dancing, reading poetry, playing musical instruments, demonstrating karate forms or anything else that is entertaining. Each student can perform in only ONE act, so audition in the talent category that best suits you.
On April 6-10, show your school spirit by participating in the following special days:
Moar Huggz Munday – Show your friends how much you care by giving them hugs (with permission, of course).
Teacher Tuesday – Be prepared to share a skill and teach your teachers something interesting in class.
What Am I? Wednesday – You’ll be given a new identity, and everyone but you will know who you are. Use clues from your classmates to guess your new identity.
Thirsty Thursday – Student Council will sell assorted flavored waters and drinks during lunch for $1.00 per bottle.
Fandom Friday – Do you have a favorite T.V. show or video game? Book character or sports team? On Friday, wear clothes to show what you are a fan of.
The Student Council will host a dance for 5/6s – 7/8s on Friday, Jan. 16, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Anyone willing to bring snacks or treats, or any parent who would like to help chaperone, set up, or clean up, should email email@example.com.
EAGLE School once again participated in the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign. Many thanks to everyone who collected money or donated. Because of your generosity, we raised $993.65.
We need volunteers to bring in food/treats for the 5/6 – 7/8 Halloween party. Please email Martha (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you can donate fruit, veggies, sweets, chips, pretzels, drinks or other “Halloween-ish” items. We also need a parent or two to help with set-up and clean-up on the afternoon of October 31.
On Friday, May 9, Student Council will sponsor an end-of-year dance for 5/6-7/8 students from 6:30 to 9:00 pm in the Commons. Tickets are $4.95 in advance ($6.95 at the door) and will be sold during lunch. Pizza will be provided. We still need 2-3 parent volunteers, so if you are able to chaperone or bring treats, please email Martha at email@example.com.
Spirit Week – The Student Council has chosen May 5-9 to be “spirit” week. Instead of having just one fun day, there will be five in a row!
Cinco de Monday (5/5) – Celebrate this important date in Mexico’s history by wearing authentic Mexican clothing, soccer jerseys, or red, white, and green clothes.
Tic Tac Tuesday (5/6) – Student Council will be selling Tic Tacs, Mentos, and other treats at lunch for $1.00 each.
Wacky Wednesday (5/7) – Wear your wackiest clothes and craziest combinations
Pajama Day (5/8) – Roll out of bed and wear your pajamas to school.
Homeroom Wars (5/9) – Each homeroom will choose a theme and dress up accordingly.
