June 12th, 2013 On Friday, May 31, EAGLE School students, with shovels in hand, gathered on the property adjacent to their current building to break ground for their new 21,000 sq. ft. addition.
 EAGLE School breaks ground for a 21,000 sq. ft. addition to their current building. Throughout this past school year, current EAGLE families, as well as alum families joined together to raise the first $500,000 necessary to get started. The second phase of fundraising–funds needed to fill the rooms with equipment and supplies–begins NOW! March 14th, 2013 Last night, the EAGLE Board of Directors met to review the many, many factors involved with the expansion of our building. Our proposed addition will nearly double the square footage of our school, and as you can imagine, it will add considerably to the size of our current mortgage. However, after hours of discussion and judicious consideration, the Board has elected to move forward with the expansion! Thankfully, we have almost met our initial $500,000 fundraising goal, and with only $7,000 yet to raise, your donations and pledges are still needed and most appreciated. As we ponder our expansion plans, we continue to be excited about the wonderful opportunities our addition will offer both current and future students. If you have not had a chance to check out the plans, please stop by the bulletin board in the Commons for a look.
We will continue to turn to the EAGLE community—present, past, and future, as we move into our next phase of fundraising, the effort that will enable us to fill each new room with the equipment and supplies needed to support our curriculum. Your EPO is working very hard to organize a fantastic Spring FUNdraiser that we hope will help us create a new playground on the other side of our beautiful oak tree. In addition, a successful fundraiser will allow the EPO to offer support for scholarships, electronics, technology, and the many other programs they have supported in the past. Please step up and help them with this great EAGLE family event that will take place on May 3.

February 18th, 2013 This past Wednesday we received plan approval from Fitchburg Research Park, and we will seek approval from the City of Fitchburg next week. Please stop by the bulletin boards in the Commons for a closer look at our current plans, which will go out for bids next week. We hope to secure final construction cost estimates by March 1. Then, our Board of Directors will review those numbers and a decision to move ahead with the expansion will be put to a vote the first week of March. Currently, we are just $11,000 shy of our fundraising goal, but we still have time to hit that $500,000 mark before March 1. Pledge forms are available in the office.

What is the size of the current building, and how big will the addition be?
Our current school is 26,910 square feet, and we are hoping to add another 20,000 square feet.
What will the addition include?
We will add seven general classrooms, a science lab and outdoor science space, two computer labs, a research center, an art room, a music room, a band room, a multi-purpose space, and a beautiful performing arts center.
When will you break ground?
We would like to begin building this summer (2013) and move in to the new space in the summer of 2014.
What will the project cost and how much have you raised so far?
Amount to begin the project: $500,000

December 4th, 2012 Since October, we have raised $277,672. The careful financial management of our cash reserves allows us to add $150,000 to that amount, giving us a total of $427,672 to date. We have recently chosen Dimension IV Madison Design Group to complete the design process, and as soon as we have hit our $500,000 campaign benchmark, we will hire a general contractor. An additional $72,328 is still needed to reach our goal—a goal we are hoping to meet by the end of December!
We have assembled an information packet that will help current families present our expansion plans to interested friends and family members. If you would like a packet, you may pick one up in the main office, or send an email requesting that one be sent home with your child.
