An Invitation from Pitch Perfect
Darlene and the members of Pitch Perfect would like to invite you to their performance, “A Cabaret Evening,” on Wednesday, May 22, at 6:00 pm, in the Commons. The students have worked hard on some musical theater pieces and would love to have their friends come and enjoy the show. It is also a good way for students to see this musical group in action and to think about joining the fun next year.
Come play with clay! Use your imagination to build and sculpt something wonderful! Monday after-school sessions, offered by Mrs. Finster, will include tutorials on clay slab-building, coil-building, and glazing techniques. Explore building, cutting, and rolling clay in the EAGLE art room. Classes, which are open to 3/4s-7/8s, will be held on Mar. 11 and 18, as well as April 15, 22, and 29. Fee: $10.00 per hour. Please click on link below for details.
After-School Clay Studio Registration
In December, art teacher Rebecca Finster offered three after-school origami classes for 3/4 – 7/8 students. The young artists used a variety of imported and duo paper to create their masterpieces which included holiday wreaths, two-part modular ornaments, racing penguins, and songbirds.

National Junior Art Honor Society Induction
This past Monday at a special ceremony in the art room, ten EAGLE eighth graders were inducted into the National Junior Art Honor Society. At the beginning of the ceremony, one student read the NJAHS Elements of Art poem while another lit red, yellow, and blue candles. Each student was presented with a red carnation, and the Co-Presidents led the members in the recitation of the NJAHS pledge in which they promised to “help create a more beautiful world” through the use of their talents in art. The induction ceremony was followed by a reception with cake and juice. Congratulations to these newest members of the National Junior Art Honor Society!
