EAGLE offers a variety of after-school sports run by both teachers and parents.
Volleyball – Fall
The coed EAGLE volleyball team (6/7s – 7/8s) competes against Madison area middle school teams during the months of September and October. Practices and matches take place after school.
Tennis Club – Spring
The coed EAGLE Tennis Club (4/5s – 7/8s) practices once a week after school at McKee Farms Park.
Basketball – Fall, Winter, Spring
Thanks to helps of EAGLE parents Tami and Chad, Coach Jack is fielding different EAGLE basketball teams this year. All teams meet from 3:25-4:30 pm after school. The younger girls team (3/4-5/6) meets Mondays, the older boys team (5/6-7/8) meets Tuesdays, the younger boys team (3/4-5/6) meets Wednesdays, and the the older girls team (5/6-7/8) meets Thursdays. Go team(s)!
Cross Country Running Club – Fall
Open to 4/5s – 7/8s, participants meet once a week during September and October to run on the trail and through the nature preserve behind the school.
Girls on the Run – Fall
Girls on the Run is a program for Int-4/5 girls that combines running with activities designed to help girls build confidence and inner strength, develop strategies to create positive relationships and navigate challenges, and appreciate the value of health and fitness.
Participants develop their running abilities throughout the season, which culminates in completing a 5K with other Dane County Girls on the Run groups. GOTR meets from 3:25-5:00 pm two days per week for a ten week season, led by a group of parent and volunteer coaches.
Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball – Winter
Boys’ and girls’ basketball teams (5/6s – 7/8s) begin their seasons in November. Practices take place after school from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. Games are typically played on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays at 4:00 or 5:00 PM. Teams may participate in games that are not on their usual practice day. Watch the calendar for game schedules.
Ski Club – Winter
Ski Club is an opportunity for interested students and families to go on evening and all-day ski trips to Cascade Mountain or Devil’s Head Resort. (Kids under the age of ten must be accompanied by a parent.) Bus transportation is provided with multiple pick-up locations being offered. Lessons and gear rental are available. The club has a sizable “ski-larship” fund, so financial assistance is available for any student in need who would like to participate. Ultimate Frisbee – Fall and Spring
The EAGLE Ultimate Frisbee team is open to all 4/5s – 7/8s and meets once a week after school.
